at the top of和on the top of
at在介词里边是是指在某一点（刚好就是那个点），on是指在某一点以上的地方。比如：
at top three就是第三名那个点，on the top three就是前三名以内，三名以上的所有人。
at the top of “在……顶点上、在……上”。
at 表示点，在句子中用作状语，既可表示“在（房子、山等平面的）顶上”；亦可表示“在（某事物）上部，局（某事物）首位”。
There is a tree at the top of the hill. 那座小山上有棵树。
He is at the top of the class.他居全班之首位。
on (the) top of 一般表示“在······顶上，在······上面”的意思，其中on表示部位上的接触，冠词the常可省去，这时可用at the top of 替换，on (the) top of 还可表示“除······之外（besides）”和“熟练掌握，通晓（某一学问、科学等）”的意思。
