既然介词后面一般不能接介词短语作宾语(除了until、from、except),为什么还有 for more than a decade 这种用法呢?more than本身不就是介词短语吗?
For more than a decade, FedEx has supported the American Red Cross in its effort to get emergency supplies to areas affected by disasters, both domestically and internationally.
1、Come out from under the table.
2、He walked out from among the crowd.
3、The phrase has been in wide use from before 1950's.
4、She had no sooner opened the door than a cat jumped out from behind the door.
1、She won’t go home until after the exam.
2、Don’t leave until after I’ve spoken to you.
3、She’s worked as a nurse until past her sixtieth birthday.
1、No admittance except on business.
2、He cannot spare any time except on Sunday.
3、The window is never opened except in summer.
4、Steel pennies are scarce now except in coin shops.
比如你和八十多岁的老人an old man more than eighty years old
