本文以新西兰卫星导航系统制造商提供的NAVMAN GPS接收模块Jupiter21为例,介绍了GPS的通信协议。讨论了基于单片机的GPS接收系统设计, 提出了对GPS全球定位系统定位信息的接收以及对各定位参数数据的提取方法,并主要在系统的硬件设计方面提出了详细的设计流程以及详细的硬件设计电路图。通过本设计方法,本系统由单片机控制GPS模块较为精确地计算和显示时间、经度、纬度、航速、航向、卫星个数等卫星信息。

GPS (Global Positioning System) has been wildly used in daily life. It is an important portion of the mordern informaiton technology development. Because of its excellent performance, high precision and various application, it has become the best navigation system so far.

This article introduced the communication protocols of GPS based on the NAVMAN GPS Receiver Module, Jupiter 21, offered by New Zealand GPS navigation producer.It dicussed the design of singlechip-based GPS receiver system, also presented the receiving of GPS signal, as well as the extraction methods of each location parameter, ad mainly dicussed hardware system design process, with a detailed design circuit. Through this method, the GPS module controlled by a singlechip precisely calculate and display information, such as time, longitude, latitude, speed, direction, number of satellites etc.
