给你几个例子
先拿第一个词 “watch out”吧
watch out 如果是字面上的意思就是看外面对吧
但是真正的意思是叫你小心点吧
小心点也可以说是 "becareful" 啊， 只不过“watch out” 比较更口语化而已

不知道你有没有听过“好奇杀死猫”（在英文就是“curiousity kills the cat") 其实那也是idiom 的一种 不过没有“watch out” 那么口语化和常用。
