1、other 意思是“别的”，相当于形容词，后跟名词。other+名词＝others ；
如：
Do you have any other question(s)?
你们还有别的问题吗？
2、others 相当于名词。意思是“别人”others =other +名词；
如：
He is always ready to help others .
他总是准备着帮助别人。
3、the other 特指两者中“另一个的”；　后跟名词，也可不跟名词，常与one 连用，即one .... the other ...“一……另一……”。
如：
He has two sisters . One is a teacher , the other is a doctor .
他有两个姐姐，一个是老师，另一个是医生。
4、the others 特指别的人或物。the others = the other +名词。
如：
Work hard , or you 'll fall behind the others .
努力学习，否则你就落后于别人。
5、another 指三者或三者以上的“另一个”，　后跟单数名词。
如：
