A mother mouse was out for a stroll with her babies when she spotted a cat crouched behind a bush. She watched the cat, and the cat watched the mice.

Mother mouse barked fiercely, "Woof, woof, woof!" The cat was so terrified that it ran for it's life.

Mother mouse turned to her babies and said, "Now, do you understand the value of a second language?"

Not long ago, grandpa accidentally caught a lovely bird, which he liked very much and he brought it back home. Grandpa bought a beautiful cage for the bird. The bird grew quickly under grandpa's care, yet it felt unhappy all the time. Grandpa was so upset when he saw that, and so he decided to give freedom back to the bird by sending it back to the nature. Therefore the bird left grandpa. It flew out the cage and went back to the forrest. A couple of days later, to grandpa's surprise, the bird flew back to the cage. Later grandpa found out that the forrest had gone, all woods had been cut down, and the bird was homeless. This inspired me a lot: people need homes/shelters, so do animals. Please return homes/shelters back to animals. That requires human beings to undertake reasonable development of natural resources and protect the environment. Everyone is responsible for that.

Everybody wishes (hopes) to get money so that he can maintain his livelihood. In other words, money is so useful that it is impossible for mankind to live without it. For this reason, we have an interesting proverb. It says “Money can make the world go around.” In a word, money is more powerful than anything else.

However, money should not be wasted. It must be used for (some) proper purposes. We young men should form the good habit of not spending money in the wrong way.

每个人为了能够维持生活，所以都希望得到钱。换句话说，钱是非常有用，所以没有它人类即无法生活。基于此种理由，我们有一句有趣的谚语。它说有“钱能使鬼推磨”。一言以蔽之，钱比任何另外的东西更有力量。

然而，钱不应该被浪费掉。它必须用于正当的用途上。我们青年人应该养成不乱花钱的好习惯。
