《进军歌》1945年“八月革命”前产生于越北解放区，原词为法语。1946年召开的越南第一届国会第二次会议正式确定《进军歌》为国歌。1955年第一届国会第五次会议对《进军歌》的歌词作了一些修改。1976年7月2日，统一的越南国会通过决议，确定《进军歌》为全国统一后的越南社会主义共和国国歌。
