Prometheus and his brother disregarded the injuctions of Zeus and stole the fire seed from Apollo and told men how to make fire with it for the mercy on them. Ever since human have acquired warmness and had a peaceful and happy life. Human showed Promethrus their sincery gratitude for what he did for them, which made Zeus very annoyed. As a punishment, Zeus ordered the arrest of Promethrus and sent him to Alps to suffer there.

So Pandora stayed on the earth for many years without completing her mission.
