答：不及格的原因有很多。即使是限定了一个首字母，以P开头的适合句意的形容词不止这两个。这题没有出好，应再加上一句才能唯一。再比如，用persistent 坚持不懈的可以吗？
practiced: Skilled or expert; proficient:
有经验的：有经验的或老练的；熟练的： 可以吗？
你看，patient, prepared, persistent, practiced, proficient 这几个词都可以。
你要肯动脑，肯查词典，肯定还能找出更多以p打头的适合句意的形容词来。
所以此题出得不好。当然，可能是单元测试题，只有填最近学过的单词了。后三个一般高中不学。
