美签被拒签后，再次申请填写DS160的时候，可以在是否拒签过那个地方选择YES。然后在填写拒签理由那里可以写个COVERLETTER。我一般帮助申请人写COVERLETTER,会写的很长，大概1000字左右。这里会写申请人的个人背景，教育情况，工作情况，申请人为什么赴美国，动机，目的，以及回国的计划等等。一般会在这里写出申请人的背景，申请人回国的发展机会远远大于在美国的可能的就业机会等等。
这里写的这个COVERLETTER非常有用。在签证面谈的前一天，会有一名专门的移民官审核申请人的DS160。这个移民官会对申请人进行一个初步打分，和评语。
假如申请人的评分比较高，在面谈当天就有秒过的可能，或者也比较顺利，被询问的刁钻问题相对少一些。如果申请人的打分很低，那么就有可能被秒拒。
下面是我写过的一个样本，可以参照这种写法：
