前一句 如果写成Tom's composition is as least as good as Jack's, if not better, Jack's很明显的感觉别扭。对比第二句Mr. Guo played the piano as well as, if not better than, MIss Liu所以if not better放在后面时需要加than,而放在前面的时候tom's composition, if not better, 更接近主语后面的as good as 有连接宾语的作用。。。。（我好像感觉说不下去了- -，语感上很容易判断出来，但一定要从语法上分析，我语法太弱了、、、= =mark一下，期待后面的大神能从语法上科普，排队围观~本回答被网友采纳
