1) 要把 what's in store 看做一个整体来理解, 意思是: 我们所储备的东西.
2) 第二句话的大致意思就是, IQ的不同会造成很大的差异,那么这个差异是什么呢?就是about后面提到的 how much of what we're seeing is natural capriciousness 和 how much is the consequence of human activity.也就是我们看世界的方式会有多么大的差异, 我们的行为会有多么不一样的结果 .how much 在这里指的是"这种差异会有多大". ← 上句仅为意译
3) a measure of the energy value of food
名词+of+名词，我们往往会用这个来表示无生命物体的所有格，的确跟你想的一样是倒着翻译的。不过你的理解有小小的偏差。food有很多价值，其中一种可以增加能量的价值就叫 energy value，然后前面的measure是测量的意思，也就是说对食物中的energy value加以测量，跟测卡路里类似。
