冬季奥林匹克运动会（简称：冬奥会，外文名：WinterOlympicGames）是世界规模最大的冬季综合性运动会，由国际奥林匹克委员会主办，每四年举办一届，参与国遍布五大洲。
冬奥会首届举办于1924年法国夏慕尼，此后往往与夏季奥运会同年举办。后经国际奥委会决定，冬奥会自1994年起与夏季奥运会相间两年举办。自1924年开始第1届，截至2018年共举办了23届。
