其实“在晚上”， 有三种说法: at night；in the night ；on the night。
用法不同，意思上也有些差别。
1、at night 泛指“在夜晚”，night 前不加冠词，
例如：He often stays up at night. 他晚上经常熬夜.
2、in the night 某个夜晚，night 前加定冠词the，表示一个时间段，相当于during the night.
例如：Xiao Ming visited me at 10:30 in the night. 小明晚上10点半来看望了我。
3、on the/a night 特指某一具体日期的夜晚，受具体日期的限定
例如；1) He dropped in on a cold winter night. 一个寒冷冬日的夜晚，他顺道拜访了我。
2) The party was held on the night of his brithday. 聚会是在他生日那天晚上举办的。
1、at 用于表示时刻，时间的某一点
at night在夜间
at noon正午时
2、on用于表示某天，某一天的上，下午（指具体的某一天时都用on）
on a fine morning 在一个晴朗的早晨
on a cold night 在一个寒冷的夜晚
3、in用于表示月，季节，年和泛指的上午，下午，晚上（指在一段时间内）
in the morning 在上午
4、early in the morning 是想强调early
in the early morining 是想强调morning
5、Mary gets up early in the morning.
Mary每天很早起来。
Mary will call you in the early morning.
Mary会在很早的时候打电话给你。
on the dark night
两个不同的，第一个early是副词，整个作状语，第二个early是名词，作in 的宾语。
