很多初中同学在学英语时，对一些相似意思的单词或词组总是分不清其意思和用法，往往在考试时失分，非常可惜。对英语了解的人都知道，高年级英语要想考高分，语法是必须好好学的，今天十一老师就给大家分享一下another、other、others、the other、the others的区别与用法。


一、another 泛指（指三者或三者以上中的）另一个，既可作代词又可作形容词。

1、做代词时

如：①、I have finished this book,please give me another. 我已经写完这本书了，请再给我一本。

②、I don't like this one .Please show me another .我不喜欢这一个，请再给我一个。

2、做形容词

如: I will be back in another ten days. 我再过十几天回来。

3、another one 另外一个

4、another+数词+名词复数=数词+more+名词复数

如: another ten chairs=ten more chairs 另外十把椅子

5、another+名词单数=one more+名词单数

如: another apple=one more apple 又一个苹果

二、other 其他的，另外的，泛指另一个、另一些。作定语时，常与可数名词复数连用。

如: We learn English、Chinese、Maths and other subjects.我们学习英语、语文、数学和其他科目。

但如果前面有the、some、any、each、every及形容词性物主代词时，可与可数名词单数连用。

如: every other day


三、others 泛指别的、其他人。是other的复数形式。相当于other+可数名词复数

如：she has more concern for others than for herself. 她关心别人胜过关心自己。

注 : 泛指:表示除去一部分后的另一些，但不是剩下的全体。

常用结构: some…others… 一些…另一些…

如: ①、Some students are doing their homework, but others are talking loudly.一些学生正在做作业，但是另一些在大声说话。

②、Many people are in the park, some are singing, others are dancing. 许多人在公园里，一些人在唱歌，另一些在跳舞。

四、the other 可作代词也可作形容词，表（两者中的）另一个，常用于one..the other..的句型中。

如: ①、she has two children，one is a boy，the other is a girl. 她有两个孩子，一个是男孩，另一个是女孩。

②、He has two brothers， one is a doctor， the other is a policeman. 他有两个兄弟，一个是医生，另一个是警察。


五、the others 是the other 的复数形式,特指某一范围内“全部或其余的人或物”，只作代词用，相当于the other 加可数名词复数。

如: ①、Four of them are in the classroom,what about the others. 其中四个在教室里，其他的呢。

②、There are 48 students in our class. Some study hard but the others don't. 我们班有48名学生，一些学习努力，一些学习不努力。

注: the other+名词=the others 其余的

如: Some of the pencils are red，the others are blue.

=Some of the pencils are red，the other pencils are blue.一些铅笔是红色的，其余的是蓝色的。
