Self Evaluation
Imagine you are writing for someone you will meet in the future. This unknown person wants to know about you and your work during the Certificate in English Language course . Take a look at all the work you have included in your Portfolio assignment and take some quiet time to think back over the weeks of this semester. Reread your reflective journal. Answer each section as honestly as possible; this should not just be a list of all your shortcomings and complaints about the course. Write about the strengths that make you the wonderful individual you are.
What were your goals when you started the course?
What strengths did you feel you possessed?
What were your weaknesses?
What work have you done this semester that you are very proud of?
Give a reason why these things were important for you.
How have you gone about achieving those goals over the course?
How did you apply your strengths during the Certificate in English Language course?
How did you try to overcome your weaknesses over this study period?
If you could study the semester again, what would you change about your performance/attitude and/or behaviour?
