1---My hobbiesAlmost everybody has some kind of hobby. My hobbies are listening to music and watching television.I am very fond of music. When I am free, I often listen to my favorite songs from an old cassette recorder. At weekends, I usually go to music shops in the downtown areas to buy good CDs. Of the famous pop singers, I prefer Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Madona and Paul MC Cartney.I also spend an hour after dinner watching news and documentary programmes. I particularly enjoy the program "The World Here and There" because it broadens my knowledge of nature and human civilizations.I think that my hobbies are very useful. They widen my knowledge, relax my mind, and make me feel better about myself.2---My hobby is stamp colleting. When I was still only a baby, my mother began to collect for me. Of course, she did not let me touch the stamps until I was old enough not to spoil them. I remember that it was on my fifteenth birthday that she first put them into my hands. They were in four fat books, but since that time I have added three more, so that now I have a bigger collection than any of my friends. How do I get my stamps? I have never bought a single one from a shop -- so my collection has really cost me nothing. My father, who works in a big office, sometimes brings me home stamps from many countries of the world. And I have friends both here and in other lands who send me stamps in return for ones which I send to them. Now that I am working for my living, I do not have as much time as before to spend on my stamps. But in the evenings, what can be better than to sit down at a table with my precious books, arranging new stamps in them, writing in the names of countries, or, if I am too tired, only looking through the stamps already in the books? Each stamp has a story to tell me of far countries and strange peoples. I see pictures of men and women, birds and animals that I have never seen. Kings and presidents pass before my eyes, and I can follow the history of nations -- I can see Hitler's Germany spreading over Europe and then suddenly breaking into pieces; Pakistan is born before my eyes; countries rise and countries fall - and the whole time I remain fortably in my armchair at home. But my stamp collection does not make me think only of the past. Just as my mother collected for me, so I, too, am collecting for my future child. What better way will there be of interesting him in history, geography and languages, and of making these subjects live for him instead of being only things in school books? If I pass my hobby on to him, he will bless me for it as I have blessed my mother for her wise action.3---My hobbyAlmost everybody has some kinds of hobby. A hobby can be anything people like to do it in the spare time for enjoyment. It might be collecting stamps or coins or match boxes, reading, various sports, chess, painting, antiques, fishing, growing flowers, drinking or sleeping. Some hobbies are valuable, while others are worthless, even harmful. Different people have different hobbies. Anyone, rich or poor, old or young, sick or well, can follow a hobby he or she likes. As for me, I not only like physical sports, but enjoy mental games as well. For instance, I sometimes spend my time on sports: playing tennis or badminton, swimming, skating or climbing mountains. I play badminton fairly well. And I am able to skate very well. However, sometimes I enjoy mental games, such as chess, I-go and painting. Stamp collecting is a rewarding hobby for me. I learn many things, such as the geography and history of a country from stamps. As I wander through the pages of the album, I learn interesting details of foreign customs, art, literature and culture that educate my mind. The animated patterns and pleasing colours are an attraction which make me relaxed and happy. It is always a delight to add a new stamp to my collection, and the more stamps I have, the more interested I am in philately.。
My favorite subject in school is Mathematics. It is my favorite because I never have difficulty with it and always get good marks in tests.
I suppose I am lucky to be born with a clear-thinking brain. So ever since young, manipulating numbers and figures came easy to me The wonderful thing about Mathematics is that, besides some formulae, there is nothing else to remember.Every step in solving a problem is done logically.Other subjects like History and Geography require a lot of memory work.Remembering dates and other facts is hard work pared with the ease and simplicity of mathematical reasoning. While Mathematics is simple to me,some of my friends have great difficulty with it.I do not really understand why. They get stuck with simple problems and often give up.So I help them out when I can.

There are many things in my life that I like very much, and the very thing that I like most is books.
As a famous saying goes,"knowledge is power",books, which are the vehicles of knowledge,is of vital importance to one's daily life.
As students,we need to read textbooks in order to increase our storage of knowledge so that we can apply those knowledge that are inherited from our ancestors to daily use.Human civilization can not flourish so extensively and rapidly without books as it does today because that way knowledge would not be able to be preserved and people might fet everything they'd learned and bee savages. Therefore books serve the function of conveying knowledge.
Though books are a inextricable part of human culture it also has some bad effects.Books may convey knowledge but there's real knowledge and false knowledge. Those knowledge unexamined may direct one's journey in life to a totally wrong direction which deviates from the direction initially desired. As books are powerful tools to shape a human mind,it should be employed with caution.it's a mon phenomenon on the pla earth that many irresponsible writers wrote things that they didn't understand themselves, making their readers confused and sometimes causing very bad results.I think that to prevent it from happening we should choose to read only those books that survived during the long process of human history or that are generally accepted as educational and meaningful.
Though books as everything else has some shortings it cannot be denied that it's of enormous value to us and that's why I like it so much.
写好了,但是感觉不像9年级学生会写出来的作文。你选不选自己看着办吧
