I'm embarrassed to say that I was often punished when I was in primary school.I didn't like it,and sometimes I didn't think I deserved it.But,was I harmed by this punishment? No,not really.Did the punishment improve my behavior?Well, only for as long as my hand hurt.
Beathing children is illegal in most countries, including China.Today, most children can only be punished with"words."But,is talking to them enough?Should we continue to "spare the rod and spoil the child?"Or are there some other, better, froms of punishment?
