追答这不只是习惯，也是逻辑。
wound （伤口）不是仅仅在于皮肤的表面上，因此用 in 正确，
但眼睛所看到的 blood 是在皮肤上面的，所以用 on 。
如果是背上，介词还是一样的：
wound in your back
blood on your back
The weather is the worst
的 worst 是形容词，在这里有名词作用，
这句话可以理解为相等于
The weather is the worst (one that I can remember)
或类似句子。
再举个例子：
You're the best (of them all) = you're the best
