till 其实就是 until，这两个英文单字是一样的意思，till 是 until 的简写，till = until。
至于 till 跟until 的用法，其实表达的是一个持续的动作，这个动作持续了一段时间。
例： I’ll be out of the office until 21th May. 五月二十一日之前，我都不在办公室。
例： I worked until 7 p.m. 我工作到晚上七点。
例： I can use my parents car until 5 p.m. 我可以使用我父母的车到下午五点。
例： We had to stay in the exam room until the end of the exam. 我们在考试结束之前都必须待在考试的教室里。
上面就是英文 Until/till 的用法，简单的说就是某个动作，会一直持续到某个时间点之前。
至于英文 Not until 的用法呢？ Not until 跟 until 用法刚好相反。上面说到 until 是指某个动作一直持续到某个时间点，而 Not until 则是「直到…才」的意思，也就是某个动作到某个时间点之前都不进行，一直到某个时间点到了，才进行该动作。

关于 Until ，还很容易跟 By 的意思搞混。Until 是指某个动作在某个时间点之前，一直持续的意思。而 By 则强调「在…之前」，或「在…的时候」。

例： I’ll be there until 5 pm. 下午五点我都会在那里。 （五点之后就走了）
例： I’ll call you by 5 pm. 我五点之前打给你。 （我可能会提早五点之前打给你，也可能刚好五点打给你，但绝不会在五点之后打给你）
