Recently, korean pop have slowly integrated into international pop and have already been widely accepted by general public, mostly teenagers. There is many popular kpop bands like SNSD, BIGBANG, SUPER JUNIOR. These bands have not only gotten support from their homeland but also hundreds and thousands of fans coming in from countries all over the world. Their concerts have also span, in the past from asia, to european countries. They make albums every once in a while with lyrics that we people don't really understand since its korean and nobody really understands why they become popular.
But all these popularity does not come easily. Before they debut, these people have undergone such intensive training that we normal people cannot understand. Take for example BIGBANG. A korean pop band formed by YG entertaiment. Two of their members, G-Dragon and Taeyang have started training at YG at the mere age of 12. They debuted in 2006. But no entertainment companies can compare to SM entertainment. Their training is known to be the harshest of all. But they have molded many popular groups like Super Junior, Shinhwa, SNSD and SHINee. Bands that have popular not only in korea, bands that held global tours have sell have single ticket at every destination.
This korean pop can neither be defined in a 2 minute or even an hour talk. We can still not say anything about the impacts it will make on our society. Time will past and results will eventually come out.
