Re: Such as, LEVEL: ADVANCED

Here's a sentence which structure could be seen in many occasions:

1.For here were no long, straight furrows, such as could be seen in the yellow clay fields of the flat middle Georgia country.

I guess there's at least one pronoun in the 'such as' who can explain this grammatical use for me?

2.and there's another sentence:
They thought none the less of her for her lack of interest.

I find it difficult to understand the meaning of this sentence because the phrase 'thought none the less' looks very strange.

I hope someone can help me in these questions.

3.再请教一下: 上面这句话写的对不对?
Thank u, the first floor for the 3rd answer~

"For here were no long, straight furrows, such as could be seen in the yellow clay fields of the flat middle Georgia country"
this sentence is so so so weired!i do not think the use of "such as' is right here.

i can't understand sentence"2' either.

"I hope someone can help me in these questions.'
It's okay to say so and people will understand you,but I guess "i hope someone could help me with these questions' would be better.
