The characteristic of second language acquisition is that the acquisition differs from the one from a mother tongue or the first language acquisition, in other words, the acquisition of a mother tongue by a child. Knowledge about the characteristics of second language acquisition will not only arouse and develop the learning interests and privilege of learners, but help them learn effectively and get a better result. Investigations and researches are done on the following aspects: motivation, cognition, methodology, effect and employment prospects so as to learn the characteristics of Chinese students’ second language acquisition.
